Integrating MATLAB generated c-code in Visual Studio

10 views (last 30 days)
Hi,
I'm converting some m-files into c-code using MATLAB Embedded Coder. I want to integrate the generated code in a Microsoft Visual Studio project, where I am developing an application which must run stand alone in another computer without MATLAB installed (I'm using MATLAB only to write easily some complicated algorithms).
My question is the following: will the generated c-code be independent of MATLAB or will it require third-party software (e. g. a MATLAB based Run-Time Engine).
Regards.

If you are using MATLAB Coder, the generated code will be completely independent of MATLAB run-time libraries. However, not all MATLAB functions and constructs are supported for code generation with MATLAB Coder. Please see MATLAB Language Subset for Code Generation.
There is another product called MATLAB Compiler which supports a much larger set of MATLAB functions/constructs, but depends on the MATLAB Compiler Runtime (MCR) being installed on the target machine, to allow execution.
