No Piccolo F28027 Embedded target in Matlab 2011a 64bit?
Show older comments
I am using the TI Piccolo F28027 control stick as embedded control on a final year project, but it seems that this target is not included on the Matlab 2011a 64bit version (embedded coder 6.0). It is however on the 32bit version. Might this be because the Piccolo F28027 is 32bit?
I am running Win 7 64bit system, and was wondering if there might be a workaround for this problem other than installing Matlab 2011a 32bit version on the 64bit system. As I expect the latter to also cause some problems for me down the road.
If this however is the simplest solution, how would I go about installing 32bit version on 64bit system, as setup automatically checks system.
Kind regards Renier

See Which version (32 or 64-bit) is installed by default from the Windows DVD? How can I install 32-bit MATLAB on my 64-bit Windows machine? for help on installing 32-bit MATLAB on a 64-bit machine.
Potential issues with this configuration are listed here: http://www.mathworks.com/support/solutions/en/data/1-1CAT7/index.html?solution=1-1CAT7
Note that the solution says "Embedded IDE Link and Target Support Package may fail to start Code Composer Studio.", so if you have trouble using the TI Embedded Target, you might need to switch to a 32-bit machine (although it is worth a shot).
