Plots ballistic parameters based on empirical calculations - a velocity table lookup method. When compared to ammunition manufacturer's published velocity data, the results are very close (+/-2 fps) at ranges up to 500 yds.
Inspired by a magazine article in June '83 American Rifleman "Ballistics for the Home Computer" by William C. Davis. During his 60-year ballistics career, Mr. Davis wrote over fifty technical and engineering reports for the U.S. Department of Defense, and worked as engineering project manager for Colt Firearms.
