Fast Voltage Stability Index (FVSI) is a metric used to assess the stability of a power system based on voltage conditions.
Introduction:
The Fast Voltage Stability Index (FVSI) is a crucial indicator in power system analysis that provides insights into the voltage stability of a network. In this implementation, we calculate the FVSI for the modified IEEE 14 bus system utilizing MATLAB and the PSAT toolbox. This process involves assessing the voltage stability of the system through FVSI computation based on the results of a prior power flow analysis carried out using PSAT.
Prerequisites:
Before running this code, ensure that you have installed the PSAT toolbox within MATLAB. The PSAT toolbox offers an array of functionalities for power system analysis, and it's an essential tool for this implementation. Additionally, make sure that you have loaded the provided modified IEEE 14 bus system and performed a power flow analysis using PSAT.
