The CIMA Reaction

Chlorite-iodide-malonic acid (CIMA) reaction gives rise to temporal oscillations. Governing equations and reaction scheme can be found in: (1) I. R. Epstein and J. A. Pojman, An Introduction to Nonlinear Chemical Dynamics, Oscillations, Waves, Patterns, and Chaos, Oxford University Press, Oxford, 1998 and (2) G. Nicolis, Dynamique Chimique, Thermodynamique, cinétique et mécanique statistique, Dunod, Paris 2005. Two cases are studied by varying the parameter called b. We get sustained oscillation in the first case. While in the second case, we get a stable steady state.
