The Hybrid Leader-Based Optimization (HLBO) algorithm combines the concepts of both leader-based and evolutionary optimization techniques. It was introduced by Mohammadi et al. in 2020. The algorithm employs a leader selection mechanism similar to leader-based algorithms, where a leader guides the population towards better solutions. Additionally, HLBO incorporates evolutionary operators such as mutation and crossover to maintain diversity and exploration.
