This study develops the Corona Virus Disease Optimisation Algorithm (COVIDOA), a relatively recent metaheuristic method first presented by Asmaa et al. The Binary Corona Virus Disease Optimisation Algorithm (BCOVIDOA), a modification of COVIDOA, has been developed to address feature selection issues. This paper suggests the Covid-Competition Algorithm (CCA), a modified version of COVIDOA, to address the feature selection problem more effectively. We employ Jing Wei et al.'s Competition Strategy notion in our suggested method to improve classification system performance and reduce computational complexity.
