first-order low pass active filter
Version 1.0.0 (44.4 KB) by

Modeling of active low pass filter by using Simulink / Simscape
The primary components in an active LPF are:
Operational Amplifier (Op-Amp): The heart of the circuit, amplifying the filtered signal. Resistors: Determine the cutoff frequency and gain.
Capacitor: Blocks high-frequency signals.
Then the operation of an active low-pass filter is verified by analyzing its frequency gain equation, which shows that:
1.Low frequencies: Pass through with minimal attenuation
2.High frequencies: Are significantly attenuated
3. Cutoff frequency: The point at which the gain drops to 70.7% of its maximum value.
