Main Source Codes used during my PhD research
The image processing MATLAB tool is used to segment individual microconstituent phases (void, matrix, fiber, and artifacts) present in a typical 13% CF/ABS short fiber reinforced polymer composite bead obtained from 3D X-Ray image acquisition technique based on grayscale thresholding and also to identify unique features of the microstructure, such as fiber ends, heterogenous microvoids touching fiber tips, isolated microvoids, etc. The tool also computes the distribution of the microstructural characteristics, such as average fiber orientation tensor, average void size, and average void sphericity.
