This model demonstrates an active power factor correction (PFC) scheme using a boost converter following a diode bridge rectifier. The system shapes the input current to be in phase with the AC input voltage, achieving near-unity power factor while regulating the DC output voltage. Closed-loop voltage and current control are employed to ensure stable operation under load variations. Minor current distortion near zero crossings reflects realistic diode-bridge PFC behavior.
