The Oregonator model accurately describes the Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) reaction. BZ reaction is an example of oscillating chemical reactions. The simulink file oregonator.mdl solves this classical problem. The values of the parameters used in the simulation give a limit cycle when we plot species concentrations in a parametric plot. In addition, species concentrations can be plotted versus time and show oscillations typical of the BZ reaction. Other interesting behaviors can be obtained by changing the values of the parameters s, f, q and w. For s=100, f=1.1 and q=1e-6, a Hopf bifurcation is observed at w=3.98292355.
