Tektronix: AFG Function Generator - Signal Generation
MATLAB is a software environment and programming language with over 1000000 users and supports communication with Tektronix instruments through its Instrument Control Toolbox. MATLAB is used to extend the capabilities of Tektronix instruments and also generate custom waveforms.
This MATLAB example shows you how to connect, configure, and generate standard or arbitrary waveforms for a Tektronix AFG series signal generator using MATLAB and Instrument Control Toolbox. Specifically, this function has been tested using a Tektronix AFG3022C and MATLAB Instrument Control Toolbox v3.5 (R2014a) but may work with other Tektronix arbitrary function generators with little or no modification.
Note that this example also requires Tektronix VISA to be installed on your PC where MATLAB is installed. MATLAB and Instrument Control Toolbox are also required to be installed.
