The solar panel is modeled using the basic equations of solar output current, voltage and power. The voltage and power rating is kept to 5 to 6 V. The output of the solar cell depends on the irradiance and temperature and hence we cannot expect contionuous flow of energy from the source. To compensate this problem the boost converter with PWM control is used to boost the voltage to 5 V. This model is inteneded for low power applications of about 5W.
