Reads the contents of the supplied ASCII file(s) and place in a structure
I sometimes create data files and would like to document the Matlab function files that created it for future inspection should anything go wrong, ideally embedded in the data file.
This is a humble little utility that will read an ASCII file and return a structure of the file's content, which can then be embedded in a data file. Spaces and carriage returns are preserved.
