Persistent Counters

Create counters that keep their values even if your functions are interrupted for some reason.

You are now following this Submission

The intention of the persistent counter functions is to create integer counters that are persistent even if your function is interrupted in any way, or if you want to contine a computation after restarting MATLAB. They are nice when you have large computations within a loop which has to be interrupted.

It can for example be used if you are processing a large number of files, and need to keep track of which files that have been completed, so the job can be continued at a later stage.
