In this tutorial, you will be introduced to the properties of light propagation. You will then explore the effect of adding multiple layers of medium or a back-surface reflector. In the last part of this tutorial, you will be able to add your own material for designing your structure. We also have a stand-alone program at the end of this tutorial, where you can select the medium and layer thickness of your structure. This work is done together with Zach Berquist at Lenert Research Group at University of Michigan Department of Chemical Engineering.
