My work has focused on the numerical mathematics of inverse problems since 2001. My dissertation completed in 2009 concerned numerical forward and inverse methods of biomedical imaging. Currently, my research concentrates on advancing the mathematical and computational methodology in the imaging applications of life and geosciences, where highly advanced technological applications often comprise incomplete data and scarce a priori information leading to ill-posed inverse problems. Characteristic to inverse imaging is that the quality of the results depends also on various other factors such as the applied measurement approach and mathematical methodology. Owing to the recent rapid increase in computational resources and the ability to handle massive amounts of data, the number of numerically approachable problems is growing constantly. |

An experienced Mathematics Teacher with a strong background in education management, known for proficiency in course design, instructional technology, and adaptability in diverse learning environments. Holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of the Aegean and a Master's in Applied Mathematics at the Hellenic Open University, focusing on Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations. Passionate about applying mathematical models to real-world challenges, particularly in fields like epidemiology and population dynamics. Further honed skills through a specialized course on Mathematical Modeling with Differential Equations at Delft University, expanding expertise and perspective. Driven by a commitment to innovative teaching, aims to integrate advanced modeling techniques into educational practices while contributing valuable insights to the field of Applied Mathematics. |
