Scaling virtual validation for ADAS features

Overview

Scenario generation, simulation, testing, and report generation are critical requirements for Automated driving feature validation. Virtual validation is quickly becoming norm for Automated Driving feature validation given stringent requirements of validation across multiple miles and associated cost, safety and security with physical real world.

Furthermore, validation strategy should be holistic covering specification-based requirements as well real-world driving condition covering as many possible edge cases. In this session we will talk about, how MathWorks can help scale validation process by incorporating Euro NCAP specific scenarios with scenarios created from recorded world data and scaling these simulations to different compute infrastructure for rigorous testing of ADAS functionalities.

Highlights:

  • Automatically generate specifications and scenarios for Euro NCAP tests
  • Creating scenarios from sensor (LiDAR, camera, GPS, … ) recorded vehicle data
  • Create variants from Euro NCAP seed scenario, by parametrizing, actors
  • Test automation framework- Sensors, scenarios, controller, and vehicle dynamics
  • Scaling up test automation to different compute infrastructure and working with ASAM Open Standards
