Job Summary
Join MathWorks as a Senior Software Program Manager supporting our Infrastructure, Architecture and Tools Teams (IAT). In this role you will partner with development leadership to help plan, track, and execute complex projects that deliver powerful tools and infrastructures for broader MathWorks development. As a Program Manager in India IAT, this role will provide a significant opportunity to understand and support multiple teams and technologies. Collaborating with counterparts in the U.S., you will get to improve the overall communications and efficiencies of IAT.
You will be responsible for developing insightful and dependable analysis of program-related metrics for managing and reporting to the wider organization. Your curiosity, creativity, and program management experience will help you identify and mitigate potential problems before they occur. You will work as part of an overall program management team and collaborate with multiple functional groups within the company.

Responsibilities
- Ensure project plans align with broader organizational goals. Develop roadmaps and guide teams toward achieving their plans using agile best practices
- Facilitate collaboration with diverse product teams across geographies to manage change and dependencies seamlessly.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues, and develop contingency plans in partnership with development leads to minimize impact
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders at all levels, fostering transparency and informed decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement by leading problem-solving activities, streamlining processes, and promoting the adoption of standards and best practices.
- Define and leverage metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
Additional Qualifications
- Expertise in agile, cross-organizational software development programs in a commercial software environment
- Familiarity/experience with CI/CD Development, DevOps and SRE principles
- Ability to influence others to get things done, even when you have no direct line of authority over them
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with developing and reporting on metrics for software development
- Experience using work management and collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
- Software, mechanical or electrical engineering education and/or background
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, or comparable products desirable
