dipoleCycloid
Create cycloid dipole antenna
Description
The default dipoleCycloid
object is a half-wavelength cycloid
dipole antenna resonating around 48 MHz. For the default cycloid dipole, the feed point
is on the loop section.
The width of the dipole is related to the circular cross-section by the equation
, where:
d is the diameter of equivalent cylindrical pole
r is the radius of equivalent cylindrical pole
For a given cylinder radius, use the cylinder2strip
utility function to calculate the equivalent width.
Creation
Description
creates a
half-wavelength cycloid dipole antenna oriented along the
z-axis. The default dimensions are chosen for an
operating frequency of around 48 MHz.dc
= dipoleCycloid
sets properties using one or more
name-value arguments. dc
= dipoleCycloid(PropertyName=Value
)PropertyName
is the property name
and Value
is the corresponding value. You can specify
several name-value arguments in any order as
PropertyName1=Value1,...,PropertyNameN=ValueN
.
Properties that you do not specify, retain their default values.
For example, dc = dipoleCycloid(Length=2)
creates a
cycloid dipole antenna with a length of 2 m. and default values for other
properties.
