In one of my application when I tried to compute the PCA using princomp I received an "Out of memory" error. How can I rectify this problem?

go to start menu(assuming windows), right click on my computer, go to properties, go to advanced tab, click performance options and go to virtual memory section and change paging file size.
you can also use 'pack' command. refer its doc for details.

The original question didn't have a lot of details that would allow the posters to offer more detailed suggestions. If you're running into a problem where you're running out of memory, I recommend posting it as a new question (with as much detail as you can) and you may receive more specific guidance or suggestions.

With RAM running about $10/GB, you can buy your way out of this problem for a small amount of money (assuming your system can take the additional RAM and that you are running a 64-bit OS)

If you are using 32 bit MATLAB on 32 bit Windows, then make sure you have enabled the boot-time /3G flag of your operating system. https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/833721/available-switch-options-for-the-windows-xp-and-the-windows-server-200
Note: R2015b was the last MATLAB version for 32 bit Windows.
