Old MATLAB meta file plots

A long, long time ago I wrote something to convert .met files to HPGL, and then to CGM files which I could import into Draw Perfect 1.1 and then include the plots in lab reports I wrote in Word Perfect 5.0. I believe the meta command went away when MATLAB 4 came out in 1992. I'm thinking we were using Release 3 or 3.5 back then. MATLAB R13 can save figures to emf files which import great into MS Word 2010. If there are any other older guys left out there who can remember which post processor was available for the conversion in the late 80's and early 90's I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm thinking if I could find it again it would work in DOS Box. Hey, GWBASIC works great in there... OK?
Thanks in advance for your help. Never stop learning.... or relearning as the case may be.
