How do I perform numerical integration containing multiple variables?

I have a function of form F=f(x,y). I need to integrate it over x numerically. I know the ranges of both x and y. What is the best way to do it?
Note: It is not a mulitple integral.

Since it is not a double integral, you want to integrate f(x,y) at a particular value of y=y1. Evaluate the function at y=y1. Then use trapz() command to perform numerical integration via trapezoidal method.
