How to start MATLAB on Linux Mint 16 Mate 64-bit?

Hello, I bought MATLAB a few weeks ago and didn't note how to start the program. Really I shouldn't have to. It should be as simple as double clicking an icon. So, I tried starting MATLAB with Terminal > $ matlab > but received error: [code] $ matlab License checkout failed. License Manager Error -9 Your username does not match the username in the license file.
Troubleshoot this issue by visiting: http://www.mathworks.com/support/lme/R2014a/9

As far I know MATLAB checks the username in the license too. You can try to activate the license for the same user which should be able to start the binary.

So, you're saying call tech support. I've already installed MATLAB and it worked after much effort and tech support, but now MATLAB is problematic again. I just need an icon to double click on really.
Can you right click on the item in the Start menu and say "Pin to TaskBar" or "Send to desktop (create shortcut)"? Sorry, I only know how to do it in Windows.
I can't find Matlab on Linux Mint? I search for: Matlab and no results. I installed it and it ran a while ago, so it must still be on the computer.
Sorry. I have only Windows. Call tech support and tell them you installed it but can't find it.
