How to automatically detect cricket pitch??

Hello all of you there, I am a bit new to image and video processing. I have a question that how can we automatically detect the cricket pitch in an image using matlab. The example image is given where the brownish looking strip in almost the middle of this given video frame is called as cricket pitch. My aim is to detect all those frames which contains the cricket pitch in them. Waiting desperately for any help. Thank You
