Getting License Manager Error -16

Dear support,
I'm getting the License Manager Error -16. This occurs when I start Matlab on my local PC.
This error is already descibed here:
However, the posted answer dosn't solve the issue for me. The answer states that the path specifying the mlm.exe file location (in the license.dat file) needs to be corrected. I've checked (and re-checked) this file path and all seems good, so I'm getting something else wrong.
Hope you guys can help
Cheers
-Kenn

Why are you using a license manager on your local PC ?
Sorry, I'm running Matlab on my local PC and that is where I see the error message. The license server is running on a server.
The error is with the MLM path in the license configuration on the server
Hi Walter and thanks!
Yes, this is what I assume too. The license.dat file on the server has this line:
DEAMON MLM "C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2021a\etc\win64\mlm.exe"
and when I navigate to this location on the server I find the mlm.exe file.
Thus, the path is correct - I'm getting something else wrong.
Optinally the DEAMON line could also state a port - I don't know if that could help?
Cheers

must be DAEMON not DEAMON
Sure, thanks!
The license file does read DAEMON - was just a typo on my behalf.
Yes, I've been using the lmtools program. Also, just now I ran the lmutil lmstat command as described in the example. It produces the same result as the "Perform Status Enquiry" button in lmtools as far I can see:

Everything here looks ok to me. Is there anything else I need to check on the server side?
Nothing comes to mind at the moment. You should probably contact Mathworks for free installation support.
Sure, will do. Thanks for all your help!
was this resolved?
This is still an issue for us as well
