Matlab debugger datatips not working

I am using matlab 2020b update 5. Datatips do not work any more, I set a break point, then hover my mouse over a variable, but the datatip does not appear. I use this to see the current variable value.

I can also see it enabled in the view tab in editor. I have tried clicking on the line, beside the variable, on the variable etc.
