Hello,
I run the following command through the terminal in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS but the installation process was interapted.
sudo ./install -mode silent -agreeToLicense yes
After trying to restart the installation process using
sudo ./install -mode silent -agreeToLicense yes
the installation gui won't launch. No relevant processes appear in System Monitor also. The installation gui was able to launch before the interaption.
Any clues why this is happening and how to fix it?
Thank you

Hi Alexandros,
I understand you are encountering issues while attempting to install MATLAB on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
The problem seems to stem from MATLAB R2021b running under root, which does not have the necessary permissions to access the X Server. To resolve this, you can grant access to the X server for the root user by executing the following command in your terminal:
xhost +SI:localuser:root
After executing the above command, please try launching the MATLAB installer again.
This solution has also been discussed in another MATLAB answer, which you can find here:
Hope this helps!
