How would you go about solving an equation of the type given?

Hi I would like to solve equation that goes something like...
In above equation is a constant. is the electrode potential while is the electrolyte potential.
Thank you for your help.

With one equation in two unknowns, no solution likely exists unless analytic expressions for or (preferably both) exist, or a separate relation between the two functions exists that can be used to define them (so it then becomes two equations in two unknowns, a tractable problem).

You do not seem to be indicating the or are constants ?
You do not give us formula for or ? And the relevance of η is not clear? You do not indicate that it is a constant, for example.
