How do you sample a livestream video?

I am working on a project which requires me to read a live stream video and process the frames. So basically, I need to isoalate frames at regular time intervals. Is there a function or method I could use to do this?

Do you have the Image Acquisition Toolbox? If so, check out the example at basic image acquisition procedure.
