How Wavelet transform is used for Decomposition ,Reconstruction and Feature Extraction in EMG Signal Processing

I have EMG Signals and i Would like to Exatract the signal features using Wavelet and Wavlet packet transform to classfiy them. How wavelet and Wavlet packets can be used to Extract the Signal features like Entropy,Mean ,Variance,Energy etc
