how to overcome DCT rounding problem

I have taken 8*8 DCT of image and embedding the watermark into it but when I am taking inverse DCT due to rounding problem some information is lost when I whant to detect the watermark then I a taking again the 8*8 DCT of image here again rounding happen.So I am not getting my watermark extracted. Please someone help me to solve this problem.
