ethnicity identification from facial images

Hi! is there any project to identify human race(ethnicity)? Please, i am doing research on this. i must read some research papers.where can i read research papers related to human race identification? Thanks.

I personally do not like automatic race identification, because I cannot imagine and philantropic use. I'm sure that it cannot be an advantage to teach a machine how to discriminate human.

In the school we have read scientific publications about the identification of races, which has been written in the 1930th. Afterwards we discussed the scientific quality and the effects to persons. Today we are still the same people with the same potential and responsibility remains hard job.

One of my FEX submissions has been deleted by TMW, because it potentially violated the U.S. export control policy for dual-use items. It was a standard strong encryption method, but as the U.S. government found out, it could be used by anonymous persons in Iran, Cuba, Syria, Sudan or North Korea. Of course I do not want to support terrorists. And of course I'm convinced, that in these 5 countries the number of journalists and critics of the political systems, who urgently need a strong encryption to protect their lives, exceeds the number of terrorists.

I'm not sure, how I could reach a maximum of personal responsibility concerning my programming activities. I just try to think twice about the effects of my scientific research.
