Hi guys, I am currently developing longitudinal vehicle model using Simscape and Simscape Multibody. I would like to run the vehicle model by appying a deceleration value to the model, for example (from 100km/h to 0km/h) and see how long will be the stopping distance. I know that for Simcape model, I can utilize the brake model to appply braking force but can i put the deceleration value instead of braking force? And how can I apply braking in the physical model in Simscape Multibody?
Hope someone can help me on this. Thank you very much!

Hi Pei - you can specify the motion for joints as an input signal. You could define the deceleration, integrate twice to get position, and specify that as the input to a Prismatic joint. You could also use a controller to determine the force required to achieve a certain deceleration and apply that force to your vehicle.
