Determing intermediate points in 3D mesh plot

2 views (last 30 days)
i have a series of x, and y points eg: x=1,2,3 and y=1,2,3 and i have z =[10,20,30;15,25,35;30,40,50] and i have plotted a mesh grid using these values as mesh(x,y,z); now how can i determine the value of 'z' for corresponding x=1.2 and y=2.7 coodinates

If the points are on regular grid, you can use interp2:
interp2(x,y,z,x0,y0,'cubic')
Otherwise, you can scatteredInterpolant.

Thank you for the reply....but im not able to use scatteredInterpolant function. Its showing error as "Undefined function 'scatteredInterpolant' for input arguments of type 'double'."
