Monospaced Font seems different in different Matlab versions...

I know this question sounds dumb.... But it bothers me. Recently I've installed the Matlab R2014b, but the font in workplace seems to be different form previous version.
In Matlab R2013a, the font looks like:
However in Matlab R2014b, the font looks like:
In both version, the font "Monospaced" are chosen, but the font turns out to be different. I really prefer the previous font, so are there anyway to change the font to keep the old one?
Thanks!!

The font, which is used by the generiv name "monospaced", changes between Matlab versions. I do not know, why MathWorks decided to use which font, but this is their choice.
If you want a specific font, do not use "monospaced", but this specific font.
There was an additional change in the optices, when MathWorks has implemented font smoothing in the command window. In my opionion this has reduced the readability, but this is not enough for me to stick at R2009a (as far as I remember).

I started having this problem after installing R2021b Prerelease (previous version was R2021a).

Thank you for your explanation Jan. For me it is a problem, since I don't know which font is used as "mono-spaced" in the earlier version. Unfortunately I don't know which one to set to get the same font as in the R2018a version. Would be very grateful for any hint!

I'm not sure, but in R2015b and R2019b (linux), the "Monospaced" alias appears very similar to either:
  • DejaVu Sans Mono
  • Bitstream Vera Sans Mono
They're very similar, but I'm going to guess the latter, simply because there are dozens of redundant copies of bitstream vera fonts strewn throughout the installations.
