How can I change text editor?- VScode

Hi, I want to change my MATLAB text editor
The basic MATLAB editor is little bit unconveience
So I want to change text editor to VScode.
But when I change text editor VScode, I can not debugging or execute the .m file
So please answering how can I change text editor to vscode and execute the .m file

There is an official VS Code extension for MATLAB.

Hi, the VS Code extension doesn't seem to support .mlapp files. Is there a workaround to edit the MATLAB code of .mlapp files created with App Designer? Will the extension support this in the future?
