We are doing a project on the topic of security systems using an IP camera. We want to know that how to convert a captured image from the camera to be transmited over a network a system using tcp/ip protocol.
.
We also need to know how to transmit images via computer to a main server using ip address.

typecast() the image to uint8, send the resulting uint8 array via tcp, typecast() it back to the original data class at the receiving end, and (of course) reshape() the result to the proper size.

In order to use TCP, you need to either use Simulink (possibly in conjunction with the Real Time Workshop), or you need to use the Instrument Control Toolbox, or you need to use the Matlab File Exchange contribution "tcpudpip".
