Using MATLAB to read GLL, CLF and EASE loudspeaker format files

29 views (last 30 days)
Dear all,
I'm wondering if anyone has attempted to use MATLAB to extract data from GLL or CLF files (GLL Loudspeaker File Format | Ahnert Feistel Media Group (afmg.eu) and CLF Group Main page). Usually, GLL files are opened using EASE GLLViewer. CLF also has its own viewer. However, I am more interested in the underlying numerical data and hope could find a way to extract them using MATLAB.
GLL and CLF files are available from many loudspeaker manufacturers such as Downloads (yamaha.com) .
Please let me know if you have a solution. Thanks!
Kind regards,
Jiarui Wang

Hi Jiarui,
Thank you for the interesting request. However, the CLF file formats are confidential and are intended for manufacturers who has followed certain guidelines. I have been told that the confidentiality is to ensure that the files are not tempered with and that they truly represent the intended response from the manufacturers. MATLAB is not allowed to read or write the CLF files.
Regards,
Francis
