Problem executing ./install_unix on Arch Linux x86_64

I've been trying to install Matlab on Arch for a while now, however, I am getting the following error:
./install: line 334: /mnt/bin/glnxa64/install_unix: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error
on trying to run the install script. After a bit of research, it seems this problem usually arises because of an attempt to run 64bit Matlab on x86 architecture. However, both my system architecture and the matlab installation software is 64 bit. I tried installing with both OpenJDK 7 and 8, which gave the same error. Any help will be appreciated Thank you.

im also having the same problem trying to install matlab Any solutions??
