Copy-pasting plot objects from one figure to another messes up the order of the plot objects

I often move lines from one axes to another by copy+paste via the Plot Browser. However, if I select multiple lines (or other plot objects) for copying, their order is not retained after pasting, but totally messed up. Any idea on how to solve this?

It would not surprise me if the order were exactly backwards.

Me neither; but I just did a test of copy+pasting 15 lines, and they ended up in the order [5 2 8 12 6 10 9 13 11 4 14 7 3 15 1]...

I don't think I can explain that one.

Which operating system are you using? Copy/paste is probably going through the system clipboard, and that probably works differently for different operating systems.
