I am experiencing the same error when installing MATLAB 2022b on Linux desktop (Ubuntu 22.04, arm64).

You need to do like me, you need to repackage the file for ARM as Unix unsupported suggests you have no X11 installed, and do not have a GUI (which it uses to enter licence) offline installer does not work as you will need to enter your keys provided and as a student or research software you do not get a serial

MATLAB is not supported on any ARM processors for Linux.
There is a beta version for ARM support for Apple M* series.

now that we have support for M-series apple macs do you think ARM linux support could one day be a thing ?

As Microsoft is working on an ARM version of Windows, I suspect the MATLAB for Windows-ARM will show up before a version for Linux.
