Why do I see the following error when I try to launch MATLAB?

This email is not linked to a license.

Use a different email address or go to your MathWorks Account to link a license. After the license is linked, try again.

If you are receiving this error, it means your MathWorks Account is not linked to a license for this release. You must link to a license with that release and restart MATLAB. Trial licenses are tied to one single release of MATLAB. Clicking the link in the error will bring you to your MathWorks Account page where you can link to a license.

If the link in this error is not working, please click the link below to go to your MathWorks Account and link to a license.
