There are a lot of books which focus on using MATLAB for specific types of work (e.g. image processing, biomedical, engineering, control design, numerical analysis, etc). If you're after something other than a general coverage of MATLAB basics, I'd suggest just searching for the subject of interest while including "MATLAB" in the query. I don't really have any particular recommendations since all the books I have are outdated enough that the reader would need knowledge of the things that have been changed since those books were printed.
