dbscan; maximum cluster size / maximum cluster width?

24 views (last 30 days)
Hi all,
I am currently working on clustering with dbscan using the statistics and machine learning toolbox.
My question is:
Is there any possibility to set
-either a max. cluster size (maximum number of points) or
-maximum cluster width (max. distance between outer points of the cluster)?
I couldn't find both of those in the matlab documentation..
Thank you for the help!

DBSCAN algorithm usually requires two parameters which are 'epsilon' (neighborhood search radius) and 'minpts' (minimum number of neighbors within epsilon radius), but the maximum number of points in a cluster and the maximum cluster width are not possible to set.
