Hello,
I was able to install Matlab R2022b successfully on Linux PC, But I need Matlab R2009b to work with an older application "MAGENTA: Meta-Analysis Gene-set Enrichment of variaNT Associations".
While installing R2009b using the same Mathworks account method which I followed for R2022b, it gives an error
"An error occured while contacting mathworks please try later"
I have tried multiple times on different PC, different network, and the issue is still present.
Kindly advise, how I can install Matlab R2009b.
Regards,
Anand Kumar E

The activation technology in that installer is broken. You have to make a license file in the License Center and then activate manually. You’ll also need a FIK and need to make sure you download the product files for each product on the downloads page.

This error may occur if the installation files for some or all of your products are corrupt, missing, or for the wrong operating system architecture.
To download an older release of MATLAB:
- Go to https://www.mathworks.com/downloads
- Sign in to your MathWorks account if you are not already signed in.
- On the left side of the screen, select the R2009b release. You need to click on show more to find it
- Click the blue button labeled 'Download for OS/Platform" to download the MathWorks Installer.
NOTE: The "OS/Platform" corresponds to the operating system; the default operating system shown is derived from the machine that you are accessing the Downloads page on. To download the MathWorks Installer for another operating system than the one listed, select the down arrow to the right of the blue button.
NOTE 2: If you are a License administrator, verify the "I WANT TO:" drop-down on top is selected to "Install Products."

The installer’s activation technology is broken in R2009b, they need to do a manual activation.
