I have some lines on a graph showing population in communites over time, alongside the total population. However, the change in population size within the communites is very small and doesn't look good on the graph. Is their a function to make the X coordiantes more spread out so the curve is more obvious?

It would likely be more appropriate to use stackedplot (or subplot or tiledlayout) for this. Presenting each in separate axes would likely emphasize the variation.
