How to write an opcode 0x02 over BLE using a service characteristic

I am using a RSL10 eval board. I want to control the eval board over one of its service characteristics knows as Control Point Characteristic. The Control Point characteristic value consists of 1 octet opcode that defines what kind of request is being made followed by 0 or more octets with command specific arguments.This characteristic allows only Write Without Response property or optionally also Write property. How can I write an opcode over BLE for this characteristic? I have tried

contpoint=characteristic(b,"00000004-0001-0362-B5DA-012DD27485F8","00000004-0002-0362-B5DA-012DD27485F8")
write(contpoint,uint8(hex2dec('1')),"withresponse")

but this does not work with message unknown error.

Please let me know how to solve this.

There is no such Control Point Characteristic in "characteristic" function. You may use some other properties.
