How to use an imported antenna farfield as a source

7 views (last 30 days)
Dear Antenna Toolbox community,
I'm looking for any good tutorial or suggestion on how to import an antenna farfield (e.g. a GRASP file) and then use it as a source for a em simulation. For an example, I'd like to import the farfield of a custom horn antenna (designed and simulated with a different EM solver, not Antenna toolbox) and use it to illuminate a parabolic reflector or reflectarray (created with Antenna toolbox commands).
Where could I find a good, clear and detailed tutorial to do that? So far, I've not been able to find it.
Thank you very much,
Andrea

Hi,
As per my understanding, you want to know how to use imported data and use it as a source in Antenna toolbox.
You can use measuredAntenna to import your data.
For example,
ms=measuredAntenna
ms =
measuredAntenna with properties: E: [0.1000 0.1000 0.1000] Direction: [0 90 100] PhaseCenter: [0 0 0.0750]
ant=reflectorParabolic('Exciter',ms)
ant =
reflectorParabolic with properties: Exciter: [1×1 measuredAntenna] Radius: 0.1500 FocalLength: 0.0750 FeedOffset: [0 0 0] Tilt: 0 TiltAxis: [1 0 0] Load: [1×1 lumpedElement] SolverType: 'PO'
For more information refer measuredAntenna
