I'm using a student license, and would like to post some projects to topen source platforms.
Is there any legal issue with that?

You can post your code and your projects to open source platforms as long as they do not violate any other rules. You can check out MathWorks' own platform for sharing MATLAB code to open source here: MATLAB File Exchange. Moreover, you can also use other platforms.
